The Globe and Mail from north of the border contains an interesting article by Tralee Pearce about the challenge faced by professional women desiring to spend time with family. Many women opt out, then face heavy criticism from other working women for “giving up” and copping out. Did these businesswomen get enough fulfillment from their careers? Were they acknowledged and promoted, given equal opportunities to advance and contribute? Were they working out of necessity only?
